"I have been blessed beyond measure to be placed in this position. Serving and supporting the homeless and at-risk is a task that is close to my heart. Having personally struggled with a history of poverty, addiction and homelessness, my heart aches for those who do not have access to support and housing. As a Francis Court graduate, I know firsthand how much it means to have people in your corner. I initially entered this program as a homeless, single mom in recovery and with the help of others, I fought my way to a better life. I am honored to join others in their fight. This job challenges me everyday but I believe I was called to accept the position of Executive Director. I brought grit, heart, and the favor of the King! Glory to God."

“I am a mother; I am a wife. I have been through many obstacles, one being homelessness. My connection and compassion for the homeless comes from being in the same shoes as them. I have been broken, beat down, with the voice of shame, conviction, and hopelessness in my head. I too felt undeserving of anything and thought that I would never have much from this life. I am now discovering my spiritual gifts and it’s amazing being part of what GOD has planned for people. One of my strongest gifts is wisdom. Being a know it all, it fits me. (Just kidding) I do really believe that I have the spiritual gift of wisdom that has helped me at FaithWorks over the years. I have faith that it will continue to help me lead others for many more years as FaithWorks expands and grows into what GOD has planned for us."

"I was hired as an assistant case manger for our new Options Program. The Options Program was designed to help prevent homelessness by helping people to stay in their current residence. Working at FaithWorks allows me to help folks who may have lost hope, find it again. I have a heart for people who struggle with issues of addiction, homelessness, and poverty. From my personal experiences I know the gratefulness I have for those that have helped me reach my potential. I look forward to watching FaithWorks, through the grace of God meet the needs of our community through housing, increasing counseling and other effective solutions."

"I am thankful for the opportunity to be the Youth Advocate here at FaithWorks. Overcoming adversity in my own life has given me a passion to work along side others as they progress in their journey to success. I enjoy helping people discover their passion and finding creative ways to see it flourish."

"I have always had a passion to help others! I’m so excited to help our community with homelessness and will always strive to do my best with every situation that is put in front of me. I struggled with alcoholism for several years and by the grace of God I don’t have to anymore. I love being a wife, mom, and grandma. I feel truly blessed and grateful to be a part of the FaithWorks team."

"I am a father of two and a husband of one beautiful wife. I have gone without many times in my life, as a child I dug through dumpsters for food and scavenged for loose change in laundry mats and under vending machines; striving to find a way to feed and clothe myself and my brother. I dealt with physical and verbal abuse for much of my childhood and in adulthood I experienced homelessness on more than one occasion. When I recount all the help I received and effort I put in to be where I am now, it brings me joy to know that I may be a stepping stone for those who are currently where I was or worse. I look forward to assisting people in their journey to success, stability, and happiness."

"I am so thankful for where God has brought me in my life today. I was lost, broken, defeated and felt completely alone. I spent most of my adult life in active addiction which led me to losing my children, my family, my home, and myself but it also gave me the gift of desperation. Which led me to being willing to do whatever it took to change. That change was completely surrendering to God and trusting that He would transform me from the inside out. And He did just that! I now have over 2 years clean, I have full custody of my 2 year old daughter, I play an active role in my 2 older girls' lives, I have a home, a healthy & loving relationship with my partner and my family and today I love & respect myself. And now God has blessed me with an amazing job that will allow me to give others hope of a new life and proof that all things are possible through Christ!"

My unwavering faith and deep relationship with God have been the driving forces behind my passion for helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of those around me. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to volunteering with a variety of organizations, learning invaluable lessons and gaining profound insights along the way. These experiences have shaped my understanding of service and strengthened my commitment to giving back. "In the middle of my darkness, I encountered the love of Jesus and it left me in awe of Him. Through faith and perseverance I overcame the chains of addiction. God’s Grace not only rescued me, but it restored me. As a case manager, I have the privilege to serve the homeless and at risk. My faith and determination will enabled me to assist others in finding hope and rebuilding their lives. My goal is to continuously show compassion and be the beacon of light to those still navigating their paths."
